Didi Lutz is an internationally acclaimed public relations professional specializing in hospitality, travel and tourism communications. Didi’s first contact with the hospitality industry was at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, FL in Catering and Conference Services, until she moved to Boston in 2001 to pursue graduate work at Boston University College of Communication, where she earned a Master’s in Public Relations.

Prior to starting her own business in February 2005, she was the Director of Communications for the Hotel Commonwealth, a 150-room luxury property in the heart of Boston’s Kenmore Square, steps away from Fenway Park and Boston University.  She was with the AAA Four Diamond hotel since March 2003, and assisted with the property’s opening process during its final stages.  As the primary media contact, Didi was responsible for obtaining placement in a variety of publications and within the first year of the Hotel Commonwealth's opening, Didi established the media relationship that led to worldwide recognition for the property as one of Ten Best New Business Hotels by Forbes.com.

After starting her own consulting practice in 2005, Didi expanded her client list in New England. She worked with the historic Century House, the oldest continuously operating inn on Nantucket, and opened the boutique Hotel Providence in Rhode Island’s theatre and entertainment district, along with the property’s restaurant.  She has also worked on various other destination marketing initiatives, including executing a media relations plan for the Provincetown Office of Tourism in cooperation with a Boston-based public relations agency.

Didi’s reputation expanded internationally when she started working with the four-star boutique Hotel Heritage in the charming historic city of Bruges in Belgium.  She is also working with other properties in Europe, including the Zacosta Villa Hotel in Rhodes, Greece.  

She has also worked on lifestyle consumer campaigns including Snip-its, the fastest growing children’s salon in the nation, which won a Bellringer Award for Best Consumer campaign by the Publicity Club of New England in 2009.  Most recently, she helped with the US launch of the luxurious Hotel Chocolat in Boston's Newbury Street.

In her spare time, Didi enjoys travel and hospitality writing.  She has been on the Editorial Board of HotelExecutive.com and has been an industry writer for Hotel Business Review since 2004, offering PR related advice to hoteliers and hospitality leaders worldwide, and is internationally known as an expert in luxury hospitality public relations.  In addition to her niche public relations blog, most recently, Didi was named Boston’s Luxury Travel Examiner for the top national lifestyle online publication Examiner.com, where she writes about everything related to traveling and experiencing Massachusetts.

Didi has one daughter, Anna Sophia, who is a huge fan of Hello Kitty.  They live happily in Palm Beach, FL, and travel together as often as possible.
